Each model from the Knives line was designed by USA-based knifemaker Ramon Chavez. His designs have become popular because of their rugged and ergonomic construction, and this production line creates them in larger quantities and at a more accessible price.

The line is manufactured by Reate using the best materials available and exacting standards of excellence. Because of their quality, issues like blade play, stiff action, and lock stick do not affect Chaves knives. Models are made in small batches, so if one speaks to you, don’t wait around on it. Once it’s gone, it may be a while before it’s back.

This Liberation 229 is a variation of the Redencion model but with a more slender blade and handle profile. The slender drop point blade is paired with a squared-off stonewashed titanium handle that is designed for easy carry. The frame lock features a replaceable lockbar insert and the knife is complete with a partial titanium backspacer.
