Daily Carry Co – DCC11 – Garuda – Fixed Blade Knife – 14C28N Coated Drop Point w/ Tactical Hook – G10 – Black

The Daily Carry Co Garuda is a purpose-built fixed-blade knife designed around dependable everyday carry, secure handling, and practical cutting performance. Its compact profile combines a corrosion-resistant 14C28N stainless steel blade with a textured G10 handle and an integrated karambit-style finger ring, creating a package that is easy to carry while offering a confident grip. The Garuda measures 210mm overall, with a 92mm blade, making it a compact option for users who value portability without moving to an excessively small cutting tool. At the heart of the Garuda is its 14C28N stainless steel blade. Developed by Sandvik and widely used for practical cutting knives, 14C28N offers a useful combination of edge retention, toughness, corrosion resistance, and ease of sharpening. Its balanced characteristics make it particularly well suited to a knife intended for regular carry and maintenance. Rather than relying exclusively on extreme hardness or maximum edge retention, 14C28N provides a practical performance profile that can be readily maintained with common sharpening equipment. The handle is constructed from G10 composite, a material known for its strength, dimensional stability, and secure texture. The textured surface provides positive traction during everyday handling, including conditions where moisture may be present. The Garuda’s 23mm handle width gives the compact knife a substantial enough grip while keeping its overall dimensions suitable for discreet carry. A defining characteristic of the Garuda is its integrated karambit-style finger ring. The ring provides an additional point of contact for the hand and helps maintain a secure grip during cutting tasks. It also complements the knife’s compact fixed-blade design by giving the user another way to control and retain the knife during use. The feature is particularly notable for users who prioritize a secure, locked-in feeling from their everyday carry knife. Carry is handled by a custom-molded Kydex sheath supplied with the Garuda. Kydex is valued for its durability, resistance to moisture, and ability to provide secure friction-based retention. The included sheath is equipped with a belt clip for conventional carry, while the design also accommodates an UltiClip Slim 3.3 for users who prefer pocket-oriented, belt-less carry. This combination gives the Garuda flexibility across different everyday carry setups.
