Defiant 7 – SERVO-SW – Servo – Folding Knife – CPM MagnaCut Stonewash Sheepsfoot – “Diamond Pattern” Titanium – Natural

The Defiant 7 SERVO-SW Servo is a sophisticated mid-tech folding knife designed by renowned knifemaker Les George, drawing on decades of experience in the design and production of high-performance folders. The Servo combines a streamlined profile, practical everyday dimensions, premium materials, and smooth flipper operation into a refined package suited for enthusiasts who appreciate thoughtful engineering and American-made craftsmanship. The model’s design has become closely associated with Les George’s distinctive approach to ergonomics and functional, hard-use-oriented folders. At the heart of the Servo is a 3.5-inch sheepsfoot-style blade crafted from MagnaCut stainless steel. Known for its well-balanced combination of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance, MagnaCut is particularly well suited to an everyday-carry folding knife where versatility and durability are important. This configuration is heat treated to approximately 62–63 HRC, providing a hard, capable cutting edge while maintaining the material properties that make MagnaCut a popular choice for premium modern folders. The blade features a clean stonewashed finish that helps minimize the appearance of everyday marks while giving the knife a subdued, low-visibility appearance. The Servo’s handle is constructed from Grade 5 titanium, providing a strong yet relatively lightweight foundation for the folder. A lightly textured raised diamond pattern is incorporated into the handle, adding visual character while giving the user a more secure grip during handling. The titanium construction contributes to the knife’s premium feel without making it unnecessarily bulky, with the complete folder weighing approximately 4.5 ounces. Opening the Servo is accomplished through its flipper mechanism, giving the knife a quick and intuitive method of deployment. The frame-lock mechanism provides a straightforward locking interface while complementing the minimalist construction of the titanium handle. The included titanium pocket clip is configured for tip-up carry, making it convenient to keep the Servo accessible in a pocket as part of an everyday-carry setup. The overall proportions further emphasize the Servo’s balance between capability and portability. At 8 inches open and 4.5 inches closed, it offers a useful 3.5-inch cutting edge while remaining compact enough for routine carry. The 0.15-inch blade thickness provides a substantial platform without overwhelming the knife’s sleek profile.
