Silverline USA – DM010 – Skinner 9″ – Fixed Blade Knife – 1095 HC Damascus Drop Point – Wood – Green

The Silverline USA DM 010 Skinner brings the character of high-carbon Damascus steel to a traditional nine-inch fixed-blade design. Its drop point blade carries the layered appearance collectors associate with Damascus, while the green wooden handle adds a distinctive splash of color. The result is a knife that looks at home beside more elaborate custom-inspired pieces but retains the simple, familiar proportions of a skinner-style fixed blade. It is particularly appealing to anyone drawn to patterned steel and natural handle materials.

The four-inch blade uses 1095 high-carbon Damascus with a drop point profile. The visible pattern gives the steel depth and individual character, creating an appearance that changes with the light and rewards a closer look. The drop point provides a versatile cutting edge and a controllable tip, making it a sensible shape for careful light utility cutting and typical skinner-style tasks. The appeal here is the combination of traditional blade geometry and a visually distinctive patterned steel rather than a coated tactical finish.

The five-inch green wood handle adds both warmth and contrast to the patterned blade. Against the darker and lighter movement of Damascus, the green tone gives the knife a memorable appearance without overwhelming the traditional profile. The nine-inch overall length offers a useful balance between handle space and blade control. Whether displayed on its own or alongside other Silverline Damascus models, the DM 010 makes a strong impression through its material pairing rather than unnecessary ornamentation.

1095-based Damascus deserves the same attention as other high-carbon knife steels. Clean and thoroughly dry the blade after handling, especially after exposure to moisture or acidic materials, and use a light protective oil when putting it away for longer periods. This is a particularly rewarding knife for collectors who appreciate the look and character of patterned steel, but it also offers a practical drop point shape for measured, appropriate cutting tasks. The combination of a familiar skinner profile and more expressive materials gives the knife broad appeal, from traditional fixed-blade enthusiasts to collectors discovering the look of Damascus for the first time.
