Silverline USA – DM029 – Skinner 6.5″ – Fixed Blade Knife – 1095 HC Damascus Clip Point – Resin – Red

The Silverline USA DM029 Skinner is a compact fixed-blade knife designed for outdoor enthusiasts, collectors, and those who appreciate traditional knife craftsmanship. Featuring a distinctive Damascus steel blade, a full-tang construction, and an attractive resin handle, this skinner combines classic styling with practical dimensions. Its 6.5-inch overall length offers a convenient balance of portability and usable blade length, making it a distinctive addition to a knife collection or outdoor gear assortment. At the heart of the DM029 is a 3-inch Damascus steel blade made from a combination of 1095 high-carbon steel and 15N20 steel. These steels are commonly combined in Damascus knife making to create contrasting layers that reveal the characteristic flowing patterns associated with Damascus steel. The resulting appearance gives each blade a distinctive visual character, making this model appealing to enthusiasts who value the artistry and individuality of patterned steel. The blade’s compact proportions are well suited to a skinner-style design. Its 3-inch length provides a manageable cutting surface for appropriate everyday utility tasks and outdoor applications. As with other high-carbon steel blades, proper care is important to maintain its condition. Cleaning and thoroughly drying the blade after use, followed by applying a light protective coat of suitable oil, can help reduce the risk of corrosion and preserve the appearance of the Damascus pattern. The Silverline USA DM029 features full-tang construction, meaning the steel extends through the handle rather than terminating at the blade’s base. This construction is valued for its structural continuity and solid feel. The 3.5-inch handle complements the 3-inch blade, creating a compact overall profile that is convenient to carry and store. A resin handle completes the design, adding a decorative element that contrasts with the layered Damascus steel. Resin is frequently used in knife handles for its versatility in appearance and its ability to accommodate varied colors and finishes. Together, the handle material and patterned blade create an attractive combination of traditional blade-making aesthetics and contemporary materials. For convenient storage and transport, the DM029 comes with a premium-quality genuine leather sheath. The leather accessory complements the knife’s traditional appearance while providing a practical way to protect the blade when it is not in use. A properly fitted sheath also helps keep the cutting edge covered during storage and transport. Always ensure the knife is securely seated in its sheath before carrying it, and follow applicable local laws regarding knife possession and carry. Whether selected as a collection piece, a gift for a knife enthusiast, or a compact fixed-blade option for suitable outdoor activities, the Silverline USA DM029 Skinner offers a combination of Damascus steel detailing, full-tang construction, a resin handle, and a genuine leather sheath.
