Silverline USA – DM035 – Skinner 9″ – Fixed Blade Knife – 1095 HC Damascus Reverse Tanto – Pakkawood – Brown|Black

The Silverline USA DM035 Skinner is a distinctive fixed-blade knife that combines traditional hand-forged Damascus steel craftsmanship with an attractive, textured handle and a classic outdoor-inspired design. Measuring 9 inches overall, this skinner features a 4.5-inch blade and a matching 4.5-inch handle, providing a balanced profile suitable for collectors, outdoor enthusiasts, and individuals who appreciate the artistry of traditional knife making. Its striking Damascus blade pattern and contrasting brown-and-black handle make it an eye-catching addition to any knife collection. At the heart of the Silverline USA DM035 is a hand-forged Damascus steel blade made from two types of carbon steel: 1095 and 15N20. These steels are commonly combined in Damascus knife making to create the distinctive layered patterns that make each blade visually appealing. The contrast between the steels produces flowing patterns across the blade, giving the knife its characteristic appearance. The 1095 carbon steel component is valued for its potential hardness and edge-holding properties when properly heat-treated, while 15N20 contains nickel, which helps create brighter contrast within the finished Damascus pattern. Together, these steels offer a traditional combination favored by Damascus knife makers. As with other carbon-steel blades, proper cleaning and drying are important to help prevent corrosion and maintain the blade’s appearance over time. The 4.5-inch blade provides a practical, compact profile consistent with the skinner style. Its proportions give the knife a substantial visual presence without the extended length of larger fixed-blade designs. The DM035 features full-tang construction, meaning the steel extends through the handle rather than ending at the blade’s base. This construction style is widely appreciated for its structural design and solid feel. The handle is crafted from green-and-black chipped Pakka wood, creating a contrasting appearance that complements the patterned Damascus blade. The textured, chipped finish gives the handle a distinctive character, helping differentiate this model from knives with plain wooden scales or uniform synthetic handles. The green and black coloration adds depth to the overall design, making the DM035 an appealing option for buyers who value both functional construction and decorative details. For storage and transport, the Silverline USA DM035 comes with a premium-quality genuine leather sheath. The traditional leather accessory complements the knife’s classic styling and provides a dedicated covering for the blade when it is not in use. Keeping the knife clean and dry before placing it in the sheath is recommended, particularly because both carbon steel and leather can be affected by prolonged moisture exposure.
