Silverline USA – DM1201 – Dagger 12″ – Fixed Blade Knife – 1095 HC Damascus Spear Point – Walnut Wood – Brown

The Silverline USA DM061 Skinner 9″ is a distinctive fixed-blade knife that combines traditional craftsmanship, striking Damascus steel, and natural wood detailing. Designed with a classic skinning knife profile, this model features a hand-forged Damascus steel blade, an engraved olive wood handle, and a full-tang construction. Its combination of decorative appeal and traditional materials makes it an attractive addition to a knife collection, particularly for enthusiasts who appreciate handcrafted blades and the unique patterns created through the Damascus forging process. The DM061 features a 4.5-inch blade crafted from Damascus steel made using two types of carbon steel: 1095 and 15N20. These steels are commonly used together in Damascus blade production because their differing compositions respond to the forging and finishing process in ways that help reveal the characteristic layered patterns. The resulting blade has a distinctive appearance, with flowing lines and contrasting details that make each Damascus pattern visually interesting. The blade’s skinning-style profile reflects a traditional design associated with hunting and field knives. Its compact 4.5-inch length provides a balanced proportion between the blade and handle, giving the knife a classic silhouette. The Damascus finish adds a decorative dimension that distinguishes this model from conventional single-steel fixed-blade knives. As with other carbon steel blades, proper maintenance is important. Keeping the blade clean and dry after handling, avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture, and applying a light coat of protective oil when appropriate can help reduce the risk of corrosion and preserve the blade’s finish over time. The Silverline USA DM061 incorporates a full-tang design, meaning the blade steel extends through the handle rather than ending at the blade’s base. This traditional construction is valued for its substantial feel and integrated structure. The handle measures 4.5 inches, matching the blade length and contributing to the knife’s balanced overall proportions. Olive wood provides the handle with natural grain variations and warm coloration. Its distinctive appearance gives each handle an individual character, while the engraved detailing adds ornamental interest and complements the patterned Damascus blade. Together, these elements create a traditional aesthetic that suits display collections and enthusiasts who appreciate knives featuring natural materials and decorative workmanship. The DM061 comes with a premium-quality genuine leather sheath. The sheath provides a traditional carrying and storage accessory while helping protect the blade when the knife is not in use. Leather also complements the knife’s classic styling, pairing naturally with the olive wood handle and hand-forged Damascus steel. For long-term storage, ensure the blade is completely dry before placing it inside the sheath to help minimize moisture-related corrosion.
