Vosteed – VOSA4602 – Zander – Folding Knife – S35VN Stonewash Drop Point – Aluminum – Green

The Vosteed Zander VOSA4602 is a thoughtfully engineered everyday carry folding knife that combines ergonomic comfort, versatile deployment options, and premium materials in a full-size design. Created by Hungarian knife designer Kornel Kiss, the Zander emphasizes practical functionality and comfortable handling while maintaining a distinctive, streamlined appearance. Inspired by the European zander fish, its flowing contours and purposeful proportions give this knife a refined aesthetic that complements its performance-oriented construction. At the center of the Zander is a 3.40-inch drop point blade crafted from premium CPM S35VN stainless steel. Known for its balanced combination of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance, S35VN is an excellent choice for a dependable everyday carry knife. Heat-treated to a hardness of approximately 60±1 HRC, the blade is designed to maintain its cutting edge through regular use while remaining suitable for routine sharpening and maintenance. The flat grind provides an efficient cutting geometry, making the blade well suited for everyday cutting tasks, opening packages, preparing materials, and handling a variety of general utility applications. A stonewashed finish gives the blade a subdued, rugged appearance while helping minimize the visibility of minor scratches associated with regular use. The Zander’s olive green aluminum handle offers a combination of structural rigidity, lightweight performance, and contemporary styling. Measuring 4.70 inches long, the handle is shaped to support a natural, comfortable grip during extended use. Its contoured profile reflects designer Kornel Kiss’s emphasis on ergonomics, while textured surfaces on applicable versions provide additional grip and visual character. With an overall length of 8.10 inches and a weight of approximately 4.58 ounces, the Zander delivers substantial cutting capability in a practical folding format suitable for everyday carry. One of the defining characteristics of the VOSA4602 is its versatile opening system. The knife supports multiple deployment methods, including a front flipper, back flipper, thumb hole, and thumb stud. This variety allows users to select the opening technique that best suits their preferences and handling style. Carefully positioned jimping on the flipper surfaces and blade choil adds tactile feedback and helps improve control during deployment and precision cutting. The manual opening mechanism is supported by a caged ceramic ball-bearing pivot assembly, promoting a smooth, consistent action when the knife is operated correctly. For dependable blade retention, the Zander incorporates Vosteed’s Vanchor Lock® mechanism. Designed to provide smooth operation and convenient one-handed locking and unlocking, this locking system complements the knife’s multiple deployment options. The aluminum backspacer contributes to the cohesive handle construction, while the stainless steel button provides a durable functional component. A non-reversible stainless steel pocket clip supports tip-up carry, keeping the knife accessible when stored in a suitable pocket. The integrated lanyard attachment pin provides an additional option for personalization and carry convenience. Combining premium blade steel, versatile deployment, a distinctive locking mechanism, and an ergonomically designed aluminum handle, the Vosteed Zander VOSA4602 is an appealing choice for everyday carry enthusiasts seeking a capable, full-size folding knife. Its olive green finish adds understated character, while the carefully considered design prioritizes usability over unnecessary ornamentation.
